Executive Summary
This executive summary provides an overview of the activities of B.D. College from Shrawan 2075 to Asadh 2076. The complete report will be available on the college website at www.bdcollege.edu.np by the end of the fiscal year. It highlights the major academic achievements and current challenges.
B.D. College was established in 2065 B.S. to offer higher education opportunities to students unable to leave home due to poverty and social constraints. With a growing demand for Education and Management streams, the college began offering B.Ed. and B.B.S. programs. It is affiliated with Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, and now offers programs up to the Master’s level.
Initially, the college had 110 students in the first year. Currently, there are around 467 students enrolled across various levels. Despite lacking its own building and sufficient infrastructure, student enrollment is increasing. With support from the U.G.C. and local donors, the future of B.D. College is hopeful. Ongoing civil construction will enable relocation from Mohan Secondary School to the new premises, fostering further progress.
This annual report aims to illuminate key aspects of the college’s operations for all stakeholders.
